Here we have one of the most enigmatic cards in the Tarot, The Magician who is also referred to as the Magus of Power and is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is quicksilver, the trickster, the communicator.

He points to many possibilities for you to go where you need to in your life, and helps you understand that you have been following a narrow goat trail where there has been a multi-level superhighway available to you all along.
He has access to unlocking the spirit in all the Elements - Air, Fire, Earth and Water - and if you listen to his guidance you can have access to these too.
He doesn't operate within the normal parameters of time and space, so to really get the benefit of The Magician's magic, you need to suspend your usual understanding of the laws of time and space. Possibilities that you are unaware of can gift you with opportunities, transformations and guidance - all you need to do is to let go of your limited ideas of what is real and what is possible.
Ask yourself - "What if?" questions and see what comes up. "What do you desire most in life right now? What reasons do you tell yourself that you can't have that?" The Magician says to you "What if you could have that. what if you did have that - what would it look like?"
So you see, The Magician is inviting you to use your higher mind to achieve the impossible, since this is his forte. If you let your limitations define you, then you have missed the point of this card.
