Known as the Lord of  Pleasure, the Six of Cups is aligned with Mars in Scorpio and represents sensual pleasure,  emotional enjoyment and daydreams.
Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio, so there is power and affinity between the fiery nature of Mars and the watery passion of Scorpio.
The Six of Cups brings nostaligic memories, longing for times past when life was more simple and innocent (or so it seems when looking back).
Reality lately for you may be experienced as harsh, sometimes unbearable and often dull, so the tendency here is to look back on better times and long for a simpler life.
Sometimes this card signifies the inability to enjoy the present because of an attachment to the past. There is an unwillingness to embrace inevitable changes that every life must endure, and therefore miss opportunities for pleasures in the moment. Life always moves on and there is always a healthy impulse towards growth and renewal, regardless of how we resist it simply because it is unknown and unfamiliar.
On the other hand, this card can also mean that one is willing to enjoy small pleasures of the moment - to treasure those parts of life now that perhaps remind you of simpler times in youth, when life was less complicated, or so it seems.
It is pleasant reverie, a vibration of content and peaceful enjoyment of the good things that life has to offer you if only you can stop and appreciate it.
In matters of the heart, it can mean the return of a past love, or other strong heart connection. This is a pleasant return to happier times and gives the opportunity to renew relationships or inspiration to develop in new ways.
Often this card will appear when one is feeling a little lost in life, and seeking direction. The answer may lie in your childhood - in what was pure in your heart then and gave you the most pleasure. This can be a time when the past comes to revisit and help you find your way forward  again.
